Arend holds a law degree from the Franklin Pierce Law Center and a bachelor of science in animal science from Michigan State University. Arend has lived in the Upper Valley area for more than 25 years, and his wife is a 8th generation New Hampshire resident. Arend is keenly knowledgeable of the farming industry. He was raised on his parents' large Michigan dairy farm where he was active in the agricultural community in the Farm Bureau, 4-H, DHIA and as a member of the Collegiate Dairy Judging Team at Michigan State. In addition to practicing law, he owns and operates a beef farm. Arend has logged long days doing farm work all of his life, and he brings this work ethic to his law practice.
